Alhamdulillah! I am delighted to share that my new book, ‘Far from Home’ has been shortlisted in the published children’s category of the Muslim Writers Awards.
I am really excited and for a number of reasons: the first is that this is my first ever shortlist (*grin*) and the second is that the other books on the list are so awesome (including leading lights like Rukhsana Khan, Randa Abdel-Fattah and, of course, Anna Pereira) and the third is that the awards ceremony is at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre! Whether I will be able to make it over for the event or not, I am super chuffed to be in the running.
